Consulting for Professionals

Consultation for Psychotherapists

I offer consultation for psychotherapists and closely allied providers who value relational depth, clinical nuance, and reflective practice, with particular resonance for highly creative and neurodivergent clinicians.

My approach is collaborative rather than prescriptive. Consultation is a space to imagine together, deepen clinical understanding, and explore questions that arise in the lived practice of being a therapist.

In our work, we may reflect on how your history, culture, values, nervous system, and lived experience shape your practice—alongside theory and clinical discernment. This work is held within clear boundaries and honors the reality that clinicians thrive when they are met with safety and respect.

Consultation Style

I bring a warm, fully present, attentive, shame-free stance to consultation. My style is engaged and relational rather than distant or evaluative, with an emphasis on careful listening, ethical aliveness, and curiosity.

Consultation and professional development are held with the same care, attunement, and ethical regard as clinical work, so what is learned can be carried directly into practice.

I am an EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT) and offer consultation that may be applied toward EMDR basic training or certification requirements, in accordance with EMDRIA guidelines.

As a consultant and clinical guide, Heather is deeply curious, collaborative, and gentle. As a tender of growth, she is warm in her relating and highly attuned to unconscious processes and symbolic material. Engaging in consultation with her has brought endless inspiration to my work with clients, expanded my relationship with my clinical intuition and strengthened both my courage and my willingness to meet my own limits and lean into my developmental edges.

Dr. Alexa Rodell, PhD, LCSW

Heather brings a disciplined attunement to unconscious process, listening for shifts in affect, image, and movement as carefully as content. As a clinician, one feels both seen and met in the work, as she tracks not only what is present but what is emerging in the relationship and where it may want to go. She is sharp and grounded, offering language to what is forming in a way that opens an expanse of possibility that is psychically alive.
